Since the Oxfam crisis broke, we keep seeing excellent articles such as this one on the charity sector in PR Week UK

Hopefully, with this current media spotlight, things will change and the messages used by charities will increasingly become more transparent and upfront. It’s important as the vulnerable depend on the on the integrity of these organisations. From a public perspective, we take control and ethics for granted but surely there now needs to be a root and branch review not just of the charities actions but of their comms strategies too? Driving the right messages might well assist and guide genuine charitable activity...rather than just explain it...
